Shahid Kapoor Resumes Shooting For Padmavati

Mumbai: The shooting of Padmavati was recently stalled due to the attacks on the sets in Kolhapur. Before that, the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped and abused by the members of the Rajput group Karni Sena in Jaipur’s Jaigarh Fort, where the shooting of the film was going on.

After all this chaos, the schedule of the film was flagged off in a popular studio in the city. As per a popular tabloid, the lead actor Shahid Kapoor who plays the role of Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh has taken up sword-fighting and horse-riding lessons. The actor started shooting for the film right after he returned to Mumbai after a short trip to Amritsar with wife Mira Rajput and daughter Misha.

The security has been increased on the sets due to the past attacks. Confirming about it, the CEO of SLB Films, Shobha Sant said, “After the Kolhapur incident we wanted to be extra careful.”

Padmavati also stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. He will be playing a negative role for the first time in his career. Aditi Rao Hydari plays his wife in the film.
