Mumbai: ‘Raees’ will take ‘Badshaa’ Khan in a world far from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge as Punjab is from London. The debutant director Rahul says it wasn’t difficult to convince Shah Rukh at all. He thinks, “I think Shah Rukh got interested because at middle of hearing the script he said he will be doing the film.”
What blew the debutante mind; even after a year when he narrated the second-half of the film Shah Rukh remembered every detail from the first half. ‘Raees’ will hit the floors in February-end. Meanwhile the director is working on the look and accent of ShahRukh.
Buzz is that King Khan will be playing a true-life and fictional character who hailed from Ghetto in Gujarat, who dresses up and speaks in a particular manner.
Rahul feels, Gujarat is the ideal location to shoot the film, as it is the only state where shooting may not face any problem. With few bitter-sweet memories, the concerned director feels it will be suicidal to shoot in open with a Star like Shah Rukh, who has a mammoth following. The film will be shot on a sprawling set in Mumbai representing the slums of Ahmedabad.
