Setback for Salman Khan in Arms Act case


Jodhpur: Rendering a blow to Salman Khan after he got convicted in ‘Hit and Run’ case, a Jodhpur court on Thursday rejected his plea for re-examination of witnesses in a case related to illegal possession and use of arms.

Salman had filed an appeal seeking re-examination of five witnesses in the Arms Act case lodged by the forest department against him. Salman has been accused of using illegal arms in poaching black bucks at village Kankani near Jodhpur in October, 1998.

Besides Khan, actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam were accused of poaching near Jodhpur during the shooting of the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
