Security beefed up ahead of CM’s district visit


Purulia/Bankura: Security has been enhanced in the Mao inflicted districts of Purulia and Bankura ahead of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s visit to the districts on Monday. Though CM will be reaching the districts by helicopter, security has been enhanced throughout all the roads of the districts. CM will hold a Administrative meeting in Purulia’s Hooda police station area’s chandeshwar temple ground. From there she will be leaving for Bankura.

Purulia District Magistrate Tanmoy Chakraborty has said that in the meeting the enhancement of purulia-bankura 60 A national Highway will be discussed. The central government has allotted 300 crore for the Highway. Apart from the she will also lay the foundation stone for other projects as well. On Saturday security was beefed up along Purulia-Tata, Purulia-Ranchi and Purulia Bankura 60A National Highway. The police has started searching each and every vehicle entering the state from Jharkhand. In Purulia’s Tilai village under Balarampur Police station seven threat posters were recovered.

CM will be arriving at around 4 Pm from Purulia to Bankura. She will also hold administrative meeting at Chatna Police Station area’s Murut Baha Eco park. The meeting will continue till 8 Pm. She will put up at a Government Guest House for the night and will be returning to Kolkata at 2pm on Tuesday.
