New Delhi: Security has been beefed up in the national capital following intelligence report that two terrorists involved in the Jammu and Kashmir encounter might have sneaked in Delhi in a vehicle bearing a registration number of the valley.
Lashkar terrorists have ambushed a CRPF bus in Jammui and Kashmir’s Pampore on Saturday killing 8 jawans.
Highly placed sources in the Delhi Police told The Indian Express that all station house officers have been asked to be on alert.
Sources said on Sunday morning, the message was flashed on the wireless sets of all Delhi police officers. “Two terrorists driving a grey colour Swift, bearing a J&K numberplate, might have entered Delhi. They are also carrying arms and ammunition. Be on alert,” it said.
After the attack on the CRPF convoy, security agencies suspect that the terrorists had fled the spot in the car, and were carrying arms.
