Kolkata: According to the new traffic regulation in the Sector V , a number of roads were made one-way from Monday. The changed plan left motorists and daily IT hub commuters in a fix.
Motorists who have been regularly taking a right turn from Webel and College crossings were baffled as they were stopped by cops for doing so and being told that the road had become one-way . Vehicles entering the main road from SDF crossing and going towards EP-GP block can now enter only through Infinity, Oxford and TCS crossings. No vehicle will be allowed to take the right turn and enter from Webel or College crossing to reach EP-GP Block.
A senior PWC official was trying to understand the new traffic rules from the traffic police on duty at Webel More with a map of EP-GP block of Sector V in his hand. Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority chairman Debashis Sen said authorities are keeping a watch on the issue and will soon make a review of the traffic regulations with the cops. the company employees take this road to come. But now that it has become a one-way road, many are confused as to which road to take,” said an officer.
The cops have put up boards at the Webel and College crossings, mentioning that vehicles could not enter the road and have also put up sign boards in some of the lanes inside EP-GP block.
