Burdwan: Mamata Banerjee addressed rallies in Pandabeswar and Raniganj, in the coal belt of West Bengal today. This is the second day of her campaign trail in Bardhaman district.
Yesterday, she had addressed Trinamool workers in Barabani, Kulti, Jamuria and Durgapur.
Through her speeches, she challenged the opposition parties to fight her politically, instead of resorting to slander. She also disparaged the “divisive religious politics” of some parties “just before elections.”
She went on to highlight the development that her Trinamool Congress Government had wrought during its first term in power – schools, hospitals, roads, water supply projects, scholarships to students from minority communities, and much more.
She ended her speech with the slogan “Kisan-mazdoor bendhe jot/ Joraphool-e shob vote.”
