Script and casting plus point of ‘Piku’: Deepika


Mumbai: It has always been slow and steady journey to stardom for Deepika Padukone but the actress never felt ‘Insecure’ about her career. The ‘Piku’ actress was excited when Director Shoojit Sircar, narrated the story and confirmed the starcast in the movie.

Deepika, previously had worked with Mr Bachchan before in Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarashan’. Later she learns that Irrfan Khan will be joining with the cast later. “When Shoojit told me that Amitji was playing baba’s part and Irrfan was doing Rana, I was very excited about it. Irrfan is a powerhouse when it comes to talent and I have watched some of his movies. I have learnt a lot from both of them during the making of Piku.” Deepika stated. Deepika felt in love with the script so much that she nodded ‘Yes’ to do the film even having some back-to-back release.
