SC pulls up Nirbhaya lawyer for defamation

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday asked advocate M L Sharma, who is facing court proceedings for anti-woman comments in Nirbhaya gang rape-cum-murder case, why should he not be debarred from filing PILs.

A 5-judge constitution bench headed by Justice JS Khehar issued a show-cause notice to Sharma and sought his response in a week. Advocate ML Sharma had during NJAC arguments alleged that politicians as well as judges are corrupt.
