Sasikala, 2 More Accused Surrender In Bengaluru Central Prison


Chennai: Sasikala and two more accused in the Disproportionate Assets case surrender in  Bengaluru jail after the Supreme Court has ruled out AIADMK chief’s review appeal after its verdict. She has been lodged into the Parapanna Agrahara jail.

  • Meanwhile, a FIR has been lodged against Sasikala, Palaniswamy by AIADMK Madurai MLA Saravanan for abduction. He said,” I was kidnapped and was kept hostage in the Golden Bay Resort. I scaled resort wall to escape.” Some allege that they were forcefully kept in the resort and tried fleeing. Probe on for such allegations. 500 member team of TN police at the resort to investigate.
  • She is currently on her way to Bengaluru by NH 48 through Vellore, Kuppam and need to surrender by evening. Crowds thronging along the route she is taking to Bengaluru.
  • Sasikala’s wil be lodged to Parapanna Agrahara jail in Bengaluru. Court no 48 has been shifted to jail to avoid ruckus.
  • She spoke about the betrayal in tears and took a vow during her visit to the Jaya’s memorial. She repented her absence in Tamil Nadu for the coming days. Later she went to MGR’s house to offer her prayers.
  • Expelled nephew Dinakaran made AIADMK Deputy General Secretary, son-in-law S Venkatesh and others of kin re-instated into AIADMK by Sasikala. They were expelled by Jayalaithaa in 2012.
