Kolkata: Already under scanner for their alleged role in the multi-crore Saradha scam, actress turned Trinamool MP Shatabdi Roy and Arpita Ghosh are likely to be grilled again by the Enforcement Directorate.
Both, Shatabdi and Arpita, Trinamool MPs from Bolpur and Balurghat respectively were summoned by the agency earlier, but they skipped ED’s summon and instead sent their legal aides.
Sources said that the ED officials are likely to ask both the legislator to appear on the same day. The decision was taken after a meeting of ED officials on Thursday.
Shatabdi was under the scanner for being the brand ambassador of Sudipta Sen owned Saradha Group. It was alleged that Roy was paid a salary of Rs. 2 Lakh per month by the group.
On the other hand Arpita Ghosh was the executive editor of a TV channel purchased by Sudipta Sen from painter Subhaprasana Bhattacharya.
