Kolkata: CBI to call three Trinamool Congress MP and a minister of West Bengal in December and question at their bureau, CBI officials said.
At the end of 2014, the arrest of Trinamool congress ministers and leaders and their acquaintances have created a stir in Saradha scam. Many people were brought in to question them leading the ruling Party to face trouble. Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee accuses the central ruling party BJP for spreading hatred among the State rulers Trinamool, by sending CBI to arrest Ministers and leaders of the state.
In the beginning of 2015, after the questioning of former Trinamool member Mukul Roy, the investigation by CBI slowed down. The main opposition CPM started alleging that BJP and Trinamool have made alliances.
According to sources, before presenting the final charge sheet in January, CBI is likely to investigate many highly influential people for questioning. As per a CBI officer, “CBI will questions three Trinamool Congress MP and an influential minister. CBI has asked for opinion from the Delhi officers. CBI is waiting for the green signal from Delhi.”
In the coming month of January, the final charge sheet of the Saradha scam will be issued. Regarding the case, Trinamool Congress leader and State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee says, “I will not comment anything on this matter. Let CBI send its report then whatever needs to be said.”
