Saradha Scam: CBI Sends Notice To Satabdi Roy!


Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday sent a notice to Trinamool Congress MP  Satabdi Roy in connection with the Saradha chit-fund scam.

There are four FIRs against Saradha Group in which it is alleged that thousands of investors were allegedly duped by the company officials and their associates who swindled their deposits.

Earlier, The Calcutta High Court granted bail to former Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh, the prime accused in this case. The bail order would remain valid till 11 November this year.
Ghosh was arrested on 23 November, 2013 by the Bengal police, which was then investigating the case.

He was subsequently shown arrested by the CBI on 6 September, 2014 after it took over investigations from the state police. Madan Mitra also got bail in saradha chit fund scam.
