Kolkata: Central Investigation Bureau(CBI) have already mailed West Bengal Police DG Virendra and has sought a meeting with four IPS officers including the current city Commissioner of Police (CP) and Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP). But after that they did not appear at the CBI office in Kolkata to help the CBI in Saradha Ponzi scam.
CBI have mailed the report to the headquarter in Delhi. According to the sources, CBI has asked to appear two IPS officers at CBI office. IPS officer Pallabkanti Ghosh has asked to appear today but all of them are absent.
An informed source in the central agency said that a mail had also been sent to state Director General (DG) of Police Mr Virendra. The four officers who have been summoned by the agency are Mr Rajiv Kumar, (CP, Kolkata police), Mr Pallab Kanti Ghosh, former Jt CP (crime), Mr Tamal Basu (IG Rail) and Veneet Goyal, additional police commissioner.
According to the CBI sources, RAIL IG Tamala Basu has asked to appear before Friday at CBI office in Kolkata.
