Sanstorm lashes Middle east, disrupting city life


Cairo: A fierce sandstorm lashed Egypt, Lebanon and Isreal. Forcing the closure of Suez Canal and aborting domestic flight.The storm struck drastically, making Cairo skyline barely visible. Few incoming flight were diverted to other airports even.

The southeast of Cairo was closed with 52 ships waiting to enter from the Red Sea. The force of wind was furious with a reach of 74 Kilometers per hour. In neighboring Israel, the domestic carrier flight Arkia , mention it had grounded several flights for several hours.
