Sanjoy stays focussed to make ‘Good Friday’ against Salgaocar

Kolkata: He has won the much hyped Kolkata Derby. He has defeated the four foreign coaches namely Ashley Westwood, Karim Bencherifa, Trevor Morgan and Eelco Schattorie. One might say that Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen is having a dream run. Well, perhaps it is true. Sen’s match reading techniques and his football outlook has gained praises from the football aces of Kolkata. But Sanjoy himself feels that the job is half done as of now. The team has to focus in its game to be the champion of I League.

Debjit Majumder who has been given the title of ‘superman’ will have to work hard to improve his game further, feels Sanjoy. Ahead of the Salgaocar clash, Sanjoy wants to keep his team focused. There is no space for complacency within the team, says Sen. Mohun Bagan was humiliated by Salgaocar in the Federation Cup. Keeping that in mind and casting off the Derby myth of taking the next match lightly after the Derby, Sanjoy says that his team will give the full effort to salvage three points at Barasat Stadium against Derrick Perrera’s side on Friday.
