Los Angeles: “Sanjay’s Super Team”, an animated short film directed by Indian- American of Gujrati origin Sanjay Patel, has been shortlisted for 88th Academy Awards. This film is come into the line with 9 other titles to advance in the voting process while sixty pictures had originally qualified in the category before the list was trimmed 10.
Director Sanjay Patel in his film uses his own experience to tell the story of a young, first-generation Indian-American boy whose love for western pop culture comes into conflict with his father’s traditions which is produced by Pixar Animation Studios.
Sanjay Patel and producer Nicole Paradis Grindle, “Sanjay’s Super Team” opens in theaters on 4th December 2015, in front of Disney Pixar’s “The Good Dinosaur”.
“Bear Story”, “Carface”, “If I Was God…”, “Love in the time of March Madness”, “My Home”, “An Object at Rest”, “Prologue”, “We Can’t Live Without Cosmos”, and “World of Tomorrow” are the other nine shortlisted titles.
The 88th Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland.
