Salt Lake Residents Cries For Toppled Trees On Road

Salt Lake: Several roads in Salt Lake are still blocked by trees that were uprooted during Tuesday evening’s squall whose speed at one point touched 98kmph.

A combination of rain, snow, wind and hail rocked the Salt Lake Valley on Tuesday night, causing branches to break and trees to fall. Residents say it’s one of the worst April storms they can remember.

The Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation has been flooded with requests from residents to remove trunks and branches that have landed on the roads, smashed cars and shattered windowpanes in all three sectors of Salt Lake. Civic officials said they were doing all they could to remove the trees.
