New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is undoubtedly one of the most popular actors in India and his not so critically acclaimed films always manage to roar at the box-office due to his massive fan following. Salman has achieved stardom which only few could dream of. However, awards are something where the 50-year-old actor still needs to prove his mettle.
Filmfare Awards are considered the Oscars of India and Salman has been very unlucky when it comes to winning the Best Actor. Salman has been nominated nine times for the prestigious award in his career spanning more than 26 years, but has not been lucky to take the black lady home.
Salman has so far won only one Filmfare Award that too for the best Supporting Actor male for Karan Johar’s ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 1998. At the recent 61st Filmfare Awards, Salman’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ scooped two nominations for the Best Story and Best Actor. However, the actor was unlucky yet again as the Kabir Khan directorial bagged the Best Story award. We really hope the actor gets his due very soon.
