Salman Records Song For Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi Film

Mumbai: Salman Khan has lent his vocals for a song in one of Mahesh Manjrekar’s upcoming films ‘FU – Fun Unlimited’.

Khan, who recently turned playback singer for his own film productions, will be branching out with his first Marathi film. Talking about the song Khan has recorded in ‘FU – Fun Unlimited’, Manjrekar said that the song is part of the narrative, a situational comedy. He added, “Salman heard it and asked if he could give it a try. I was delighted. He’s recorded it and we both love the song.”

In the same interview, Manjrekar also revealed that the film ‘FU -Fun Unlimited’ was initially supposed to be launched by Salman Khan’s new record label, Being Human Music but it did not materialise due to delays with the launch.

Meanwhile, Khan’s alleged lover, Iulia Vantur performed at the album launch of Manjrekar’s next Marathi film ‘Rubik’s Cube’. Incidentally, she has also sung the song ‘Dil Lafanga’. Talking about this, Manjrekar said, “I wanted to raise the bar for music in Marathi cinema and mount the songs as lavishly as any Bollywood chartbuster. I got Salman, who has a great ear for music, to listen to all the seven tracks and he was impressed. He made Iulia hear them too and she agreed to sing “Dil Lafanga”.”
