Saif Ali Khan to appear in court on June 18


Mumbai: Trouble seems brewing for Bollywood actor Saif, after being stripped of the Padmashree award, a Mumbai court has directed the actor to appear in an assault case on June 18. The court postponed the hearing which was scheduled for April 06, as the actor was out of Mumbai.

The Nawab is accused of punching an NRI businessman back in February 2012. As per news, the actor was away from Mumbai and was unable to appear in the court. Khan allegedly punched a renowned South African businessman during a dinner with his wife Kareena Kapoor, Karisma, Malika Arora Khan.

Sharma alleged that Saif at first verbally assaulted him right after he asked the star group to be quieter. Refuting the allegations, the ‘Race’ actor claimed the businessman provoked him to punch after Sharma used foul and abusive language. As per reports, after a complaints was filed by an RTI activist, the Union Home ministry insisted the police to look after the matter which was pending for past seven months.
