‘Safe Drive, Save Live’ Campaign Gives Positive Result

Kolkata: The incident of accidental deaths has reduced due to the recent launch of the ‘Safe Drive, Save Life, Campaign’, informs the Kolkata Police.

“In 2016, 388 accidents took place where number of deaths was 407. Where In 2013, 2014 and 2015 the number increased to 437,450 and 422 respectively,” said Additional Police Commissioner Binit Goyel.

“From 8th July to 31st December number of accidents was less than last five years and the number of death in 2016 was 195. Where in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2014 number of deaths was respectively 245, 226, 231, 220.” said Lalbazar Authority.

Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee declared about the Safe Drive, Safe Life campaign in 4 July, 2016 at Nazrul Manch. After the initiative, numbers of accidents are under control, Kolkata Police claimed.
