Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar has been named in the India U-19 squad for two four-day games against Sri Lanka. The Indian team will be travelling to the Island country for two four-day games and five one-day internationals from 11 July to 11 August.
Arjun, a left-arm fast bowler excelled in the Cooch Behar Trophy, where he picked up 18 wickets for the Mumbai U-19 team.
The 18-year-old has been seen taking part in Indian men’s and women’s teams’ nets sessions in the recent past. Arjun, also almost injured England’s Jonny Bairstow during a nets session at Lord’s in 2017.
The U-19 World Cup winning coach Rahul Dravid will not be travelling with this India U-19 team as the India A team is set to play a series in England during the same time.
