Midnapore: In an interesting turn of the event in the Sabang murder case, the public prosecutor (PP) has turned against the police and literally extended his support to the three accused TMCP members in the case.
The public prosecutor said in the Midnapore court that the evidences provided against the three accused are virtually too feeble and does not hold ground. The PP also said that he has no objection if the accused are granted bail.
However, the move is seen by many as the fall of a political stroke played by the ruling Trinamool government in the state.
Krishna Prasad Jana, a BA student of Sabang’s Sajanikanta College was allegedly thrashed to death by TMCP supporters inside the college premises last month.
