S Jaishankar to visit Pak on March 3


New Delhi: Foreign secretary S Jaishankar,  who is all set to undertake ‘Saarc Yatra’ to develop the relations between the South Asian countries, on the directives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be starting from Bhutan this Sunday and will be visiting Pakistan on March 3 to mark the resumption of the Indo-Pak peace talks on the outstanding issues like Jammu and Kashmir and the cross border terrorism.

Jaishankar will be visiting Bhutan on March one, Bangladesh on March 2 and Pakistan on March 3 and Afghanistan on March 4. According to the Foreign Ministry officials, the schedule for the other countries of the SAARC are also being worked out through the diplomatic channels.

Jaishankar would be travelling to Pakistan for diplomatic talks, seven months after India had cancelled the foreign secretary level talks following the Pakistani High Commissioner’s meeting with the Kashmiri separatists.
