Kolkata: Ahead of the crucial 2016 Assembly polls in West Bengal, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will arrive in the state on December 2 to attend a function organized by the Sangh’s Bengal unit.
Bhagwat’s visit just ahead of the polls is speculated by many as a move to fuel the Hindutva issue in the state and promote saffron agenda, which will boost the fragile state BJP unit. Many in the political circle have already trained their guns on RSS and BJP accusing them of fanning Hindutva issue in the state.
The Sangh has planned to celebrate the death anniversary of two brothers from Kolkata who laid their lives during the Ram Mandir agitation on December 2, 1989. Bhagwat is likely to take part in the function.
