Rio de Janeiro: India’s shooting campaign has been rather disappointing in Rio Olympics 2016. The failure of Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu to win a medal has left India without a medal in the Games so far. Can veteran Abhinav Bindra bring joy to India today after Gagan Narang crashed out at the Olympic Shooting Centre?

Abhinav Bindra ends qualifying in 7th spot, having scored 625.7. Gagan Narang’s 621.7 sees him finish 23rd. London Games Silver medallist Niccolo Campriani of Italy finishes all of his series with score of 630.2. The world record is 633.5.

Abhinav Bindra placed 10th after the first series with a score of 104.3. Gagan Narang now tops the pack after the first series with a score of 105.3.
