Right Wing Take To Silchar Streets To Protest Against Poet Srijato

Kolkata: Right wing took to the streets to protest against the controversial poet Srijato on Saturday in Assam’s Silchar.

Poet Srijato who came to Assam to attend an event, faced the protests of a Right wing organization. They staged protest outside the hotel at Silchar in Assam. Entrepreneurs was forced to cancel the event.

Meanwhile, the poet was stuck in the hotel for a long time. After two hours, the police came to the hotel and rescued Srijato and took to the circuit house. From there the police will be taken to the airport. The protesters complained that poet Srijato used some words.

The literary world has been condemned of the incident. Poet Joy Goswami said Kolkata 24×7 that, “I condemn the incident. Srijato is a very powerful poet. He wrote his visions of society in clear language. We give courage to that. It is very unfortunate that the poets like him have to face protest. ” But Srijato did not give any reaction.
