Kolkata: After sharing points with Shillong Lajong FC in their last match, Mohun Bagan was all pupmed up to make Saturday’s match against Bharat FC count. Although, the first half did not bear much fruit for the green and maroons, the second half was productive for them. Apart from a few solo moves inside the Bharat FC’s box, Mohun Bagan never really looked threatening.
But as the reputation goes with coach Sanjoy Sen, he is a good match reader, he lived upto his name in the next half. With the continuous wing plays and sharp moves, Bagan looked a different side, more sharp, more dangerous. At last the lock gate of the goal was opened by the Haitian striker, Sony Norde in the 62nt minute. Minutes after the first goal, Sony’s skill brought him and MB the second goal. At the end of the 90 minutes, Mohun Bagan won the match riding on Sony’s brace and sealed the numero uno spot at the points table of I League.
