Relief to People: Bank strike deferred

Mumbai: After meeting with IBA( Indian bank Association), the strike was deffered by bank officers and employees. Wage revision was due to them from Nov 1, 2012. With a demand for 19 % hike, UFBU (United forum of Bank Unions) has called for 4day strike (25-28 Feb). Again during this period, the Rail and general budget are to be presented in the parliament. Considering this situation on Monday, IBA and UFBU sat together for settling the issue. According to Rajen Nagar, President of AIBEA (one of the partners of UFBU) , IBA is now ready to hike 15 %. So after today’s meeting unions took decision to defer this 4 day strike.
