Relief to Mukul, unlikely to be grilled again: Saradha scam

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Roy is unlikely to be questioned again in Saradha ponzi scam or named as an accused, according to Special Crime Branch of CBI probing the case.

“We are neither concerned about Mukul Roy nor do we have any plans of either calling him again for interrogation or naming him as an accused in the case,” a CBI source.

Subsequently Roy, a key organiser of the Trinamool Congress, was stripped of the post of all-India general secretary and other positions that he held in his capacity. But his membership with the party continued.

So far, CBI had filed several chargesheets in the case indicting Mitra and others namely Saradha owner Sudipto Sen, suspended Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh and others.
