Rebel TMC MLA to file PIL against state government alleging corruption


Kolkata: Alleging the there is no law and order in the state, rebel TMC MLA of Suri, Swapan Kanti Ghosh will be approaching the Kolkata High Court on Wednesday with a Public Interest Litigation(PIL). He was suspended from the party for raising allegations of corruption against the Suri municipality.

He alleged that the state Government is trying to fool the people of Bengal. He said, “I had leveled allegations of corruption against the Suri Municipality to the state and the central government. On the basis of that the Central Government has demanded answer from the state Government. Investigation has started.”

The PIL will be filed by Advocate Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya in the High Court. He said that the investigation might be stopped if there is an understanding between the central and the state government. The case is being filed so that the enquiry doesn’t stop. He also alleged that the state government is shielding the corrupt.
