New Delhi: In a big blow to Centre, the Supreme Court on Monday rejected the plea to vote by nine Congress MLAs, who were disqualified from the Uttarakhand Assembly, during the floor test on May 10.

Earlier in the day, the Uttarakhand High Court dismissed the plea of the rebel legislators challenging their disqualification by the Speaker.

The High Court’s order comes a day ahead of the scheduled floor test of the ousted Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s government.
