Varanasi: In pursuance of Prime Minister’s visionary Digital India campaign, Union Communication and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday inaugurated BSNL’s Wi-Fi services at Dashaswamedh ghat in Varanasi. On the occasion, the minister spoke to the senior officers of the department in Delhi through video conferencing using the Wi-Fi service.
BSNL has decided to provide Wi-Fi services across 2,500 cities and towns in the country.
BSNL will soon provide Wi-Fi services at Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram, Taj Mahal in Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Sarnath, Hampi in Karnataka, Khajuraho, Thanjaur in Brihadeshwar and Konark Temple in Odisha.
