Rani Mukerji’s Father Ram Mukerji Passes Away

Mumbai: Here’s a very unfortunate news. Rani Mukerji’s father Ram Mukerji breathed his last at 4 am, this morning. Although the exact cause of the death is yet to be known but it’s been said that he was hale and hearty, before he unexpectedly collapsed this morning.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Mukerji and Chopra family. Hope Rani remains strong enough through this test of time and handles her family with much strength.

It only proves how nothing can be predicted in life considering just a couple of days back, Rani along with the Chopra family had hosted one of the grandest Diwali parties. Rani’s father too was a part of this occasion. Who would have expected he would be no more within 2 days of celebrations.

For all the uninitiated, Rani’s father was a famous screen writer, director and producer in Hindi and Bengali cinema. He is one of the founders of the famous Filmalaya Studios situated in the Mumbai city and also launched Rani in a Bengali romantic comedy film titled Biyer Phool alongside Prosenjit Chatterjee in the year 1996. He also went on to produce her Bollywood debut film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in 1997.

Ram Mukerji was survived by his wife Krishna Mukerji, daughter Rani and son Raja with their respective families. Our deepest condolences to their families. May his soul rest in peace.
