Balurghat: In an effort to bring amity, a voluntary organisation named Atrayee in Indo-Bangladesh Hili border near South Dinajpur turned the place into a mega-union spot by tying the knot of unity. The members of the organisation were present in the zero ground to tie the knot of unity.
They also united the Border Security Force and Border Guard of Bangladesh on the occasion of Rakhi. It is indeed a rare picture which they made possible. In a co-operative effort, both the side has exchanged Rakhi and set a unity of relationship.
Sweet exchange came following the Rakhi exchange on the border in presence of Additional District Magistrate of South Dinajpur Koushik Nag, BDO of Hili Sanjay Subba, Sports official Hemanta Ghosh.
The passengers who were passing the border they have also been included in the program. The picture is an example of unity and communal harmony in the border.
Balurghat and Gangarampur equally celebrated Rakhi. Balurghat observed the auspicious event with a awareness cause Safe Drive Save Life. Gangarampur Municipality chairman Prsanta Mitra has offered Rakhi to the commuters and vehicle drivers.
