Rajpath makes world record on International Yoga day

New Delhi: Rajpath in Delhi is on the verge of making a history and find its name in the Guinness book of world records for the record number of people assembling on the occasion of the International Yoga day.

On Sunday, nearly 37 thousand people had assembled at Rajpath which is a record. Previously in 2005, the highest number of turnout was a Vivekananda Kendra on the occasion of Yoga. There, on 19 November 2005 29,973 people had assembled.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken up the issue of Yoga at the United Nations on 21 June last year. The United Nations have taken up the date of 21 June as the Yoga day.
