Bangaon: Updated at 11:30– Rajnath Singh during his meeting in Angrail said that the Union ministry will take into confidence the state government regarding decisions on key issues like Indo-Bangla border issues. Singh insisted on a meeting with CM Mamata Banerjee. He will be discussing steps to prevent cattle smuggling across the Indo-Bangla international border.
Continuing his two day Bengal trip Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh arrived at Bangaon on Wednesday. Singh will visit the Angrail border and will be meeting BSP officials at the Petrapoll border. Later he will be visiting Sandeshkhali and Dhamakali area.
The Home Minister will take stock of the situation in the Indo-Bangla border amidst the growing terror threats from across the border.
Earlier Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee lashed out at Singh saying that the state should be taken into confidence in dealing with the sensitive issues like Chitmahal issues and land acquisition etc.
