Kolkata: After Srinjoy Bose, it was the time for TMC Vice President Rajat Majumdar. The TMC ace was granted bail by the Calcutta High Court on Monday. Although, it is a conditional bail, the judgement is sure to bring some relief in the TMC camp.
The CBI had arrested TMC leader Rajat Majumdar last year in connection with the multi-crore Saradha Chit Fund Scam. However, after several sessions of quizzing Majumdar had complained of severe chest pain and was rushed to the hospital on an off an on basis.
Majumdar is a former IPS officer who retired as a DG of state armed police. He is the first TMC leader to be arrested by the CBI in connection with the ponzi scam.
