Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit, 25, got engaged to Mumbai-based fashion designer Mitali Borude in a ceremony on Monday.
According to media reports, the couple plans to tie the knot in early 2018. The two have been dating for five years. December 11 is also the wedding anniversary of Raj Thackeray and his wife Sharmila.
Following the ceremony, attended by close family and friends, Amit posted a picture on Facebook with Mitali with caption “New boss in the house”.
Amit is a commerce graduate from DG Ruparel College and Mitali has clothes label called The Rack. The two reportedly met through Amit’s sister Urvashi.
Amit came into limelight when he held road shows in Mumbai during campaigning for the 2014 Maharashtra Assembly elections. He also took charge of the MNS’ campaign during the 2017 civic polls and started a Facebook page to interact with voters.
