Railways Rectify Mistake After Siuri Station Lands Into Controversy


Siuri: The Railways have rectified their mistake after the news of wrongly terming
Albert Einstein as Tagore was published in Kolkata24x7 news portal on Saturday.

A picture on the wall of Siuri station made of cement was captioned as ‘Tagore’.
However, the picture resembled as that to Albert Einstein. The Siuri station master
had to take quick action as the news was published in Kolkata24x7. The caption was
changed and written as ‘Einstein’ below the cement-made picture of the world-famous

The Siuri station was renovated few years ago by the railways. Pictures of world-
famous philosophers, scientists and researchers were put up. All the portraits are
made of cement.

Among these portraits, a mistake landed the station in controversy. Sheikh Akbar, a
youth from Siuri, made a written complaint to the station master. Sheikh has
accused that no steps were taken despite complaint been made.

Finally, the railway authority have finally changed the wrong name.
