Railway to Run Puja Specials Between Howrah-Tatanagar


Kolkata: Keeping in view the huge rush of passengers and to cater the short distance commuters during Puja Holidays, South Eastern Railway has decided to run 8 pairs of Howrah-Tatanagar-Howrah Intercity Specials during the Puja days from 18.10.2015 to 25.10.2015 daily.

02813 Howrah-Tatanagar Intercity Special leaving Howrah at 19.20 hrs will reach Tatanagar at 23.15 hrs, the same day. In the opposite direction, 02814 Tatanagar-Howrah Intercity Special leaving Tatanagar at 06.55 hrs will arrive Howrah at 11.10 hrs.  The Intercity Specials consisting of 13 coaches (AC Chair Car – 1, Second Class Chair Car – 2, General Second Class – 8 and Luggage Van – 2) will have stoppages at Panskura, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Chakulia and Ghatsila between Howrah and Tatanagar. In the down direction the Intercity Special will stop at Santragachi also.  These Intercity Specials will run daily from 18.10.2015 to 25.10.2015.

Another Superfast Special Train will run from Santragachi to Chennai to clear the extra rush of passengers during the festive season.  00620 Santragachi-Chennai Superfast Special leaving Santragachi at 12.40 hrs on 18.10.2015 will reach Chennai Central at 14.50 hrs., the next day.  The special train consisting of 19 coaches(AC-2 tier-One, AC-3 tier-Two, Sleeper Class-Thirteen, Pantry Car-One and Luggage Van-Two) will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Nellore between Santragachi and Chennai.
