Rail Workers Support Strike, Services Likely To Get Hit


Kolkata: The workers of the Eastern Railways have supported the strike on January 8 -9 called by left trade unions. A meeting was done at fairly place of eastern railways’ office. It was decided there that they will completely support the strike. Hence, the railway service are likely to be hit in these two days.

The eastern railway men’s union organigisng secretary Ashok Guha said, “The rail falls under an important service. That is why we did not give any notification. But we are completely supporting the strike. All the employees have been informed so that they can play their respective roles in lending support to the demands.

All India Bank Employees’ Association and Bank Employees’ Association of India, and other organisations have demands too. They have given notification in support of the strike. Hence, bank services are likely to be hit too.
