Raids Across Bangladesh Kills Militants


Update: Eleven suspected Islamist extremists killed, says Police.

Dhaka: Attack attempts were foiled by security forces amidst Durga Puja. Militants have been neutralized in a raid conducted in two terror pads by the Rapid Action Battalion.

The first search operation took place in Ghazipur. The killed militant was a member of JMB terror group. A lead commander is also believed to have hidden. Forces are thinking of ways to capture him alive.

The next raid was conducted in Dhaka’s Azimpur where female JMB militants were detained. Even the Gulshan attack’s mastermind Tamim Chowdhury have reportedly been killed in an encounter in Narayanganj.

Similar raids are conducted in some parts of Bangladesh. Gunbattle ensued between forces and militants in a house in Tangail district. Two militants were killed. The area has been cordoned off.
