Rahul holds Padyatra to garner farmers support against Modi

Amravati: In an effort to reach out to farmers, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi began his padyatra against the Modi government’s Land Acquisition Amendment Bill on Thursday from Gunji village in Amravati district, Maharashtra.
Rahul will walk 15km through villages in the Vidarbha region of the district since it has witnessed the highest number of farmer suicides. He will visit Gunji village, Dhamangaon railway tehsil, Rajana village and Tonglabad village.
Attacking the government further, he said.”The farmers of Vidarbha are suffering that’s why I am here. The Modi government only worries about corporate and ignores plight of farmers.”
Rahul will discuss about the agragarian crisis with farmers and families of those who committed suicide and also ways to help them combat the problem.
The ‘padyatra’ is a part of Rahul’s programme to reach out to the farmers in distress in various states
