New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday denied reports where it was said that Lalit Modi offered warm hospitality to him and his brother in law, Robert Vadra. “Neither Rahul Gandhi nor any member of the Gandhi family ever received any hospitality of Lalit Modi. All charges levelled by Lalit Modi are baseless,” the sources added.
In his latest series of tweets, Modi has asked Rahul and Vadra if they ever received any hospitality from him. He has also demanded if they had declared it to the Congress leadership.Earlier, Modi had tweeted that he had run into Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka and her husband Robert Vadra at a restaurant in London.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is already in line of fire after it was revealed that its senior leaders Sushma Swaraj allegedly helped Modi.
While External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj admitting of getting a no objection to Modi’s request to travel out of the United Kingdom for his wife’s treatment, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje signed documents to help Modi get UK stay permit in 2011 when she was the leader of opposition in the state Assembly. The Chief Minister had claimed that she helped Modi as a friend.
