East Bardhaman: Question papers meant for April 19 were sent for a B.Com exam at Bardhaman University on Thursday, delaying the test in 35-odd colleges by almost an hour.
The mix-up, caused by wrong labelling of question paper packets, triggered confusion among the B.Com Part III (general) examinees.
Candidates sat nonplussed in halls, unable to understand why the test was getting delayed. Varsity exam controller Anindya Jyoti Pal said a probe was on into how the packets were wrongly labelled. The April 19 question papers were cancelled.
