Quake of 6.1 rocks Northern India


New Delhi: Fresh tremors were felt across Northern India, Delhi and some parts of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan  across South Asia on Monday. The witnesses had confirmed the jolt felt in these regions. The epicenter of the magnitude 6.1 quake was 88 kilometers (54.68 miles) from Feyzabad in Afghanistan, at a depth of 209 kilometers (129.87 miles), the US Geological Survey said. In India, tremors were felt in Kashmir valley, and other parts of north India. Aftershocks were experienced in Lahore, Islamabad parts of Pakistan too, say TV channel reports.
