Pune opts for Turkish Tuncay, Chennayin sees Brazilian Duo


New Delhi: After starting off with their pre season camp, Hrithik Roshan owned  FC Pune City has roped in Turkish attacker Tuncay Şanli.He is the latest to join their list of international stars. The ex-Middlesborough player joins the likes of James Bailey, Didier Zokora, Yendrick Ruiz, Steve Simonsen, Nick Shorey and marquee signing Adrian Mutu for this season. Tuncay started his professional football career with Turkish club Sakaryaspor. But it was Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe that helped him shape up a stellar career – especially his famous hat-trick against Manchester United in the 2004-05 UEFA Champions League season.

On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan's Chennayin FC has signed in on two Brazilian duos Raphael Augusto and Mailson Alves Barreiro Veriato for the second season of the Hero Indian Super League. Midfielder Augusto will be joining Chennaiyin FC on loan from Brazilian giants Fluminense while central defender Mailson has been roped in by CFC after the expiry of his contract at Brazilian Serie C outfit Tupi Football Club.24-year-old Augusto is an all-round midfielder who has been with Fluminense from the very start of his career but has been out on loan spells both in Brazil and abroad.27-year-old Mailson has spent almost his entire career in the lower divisions of Brazil barring a short stint with Portuguese second tier outfit Portimonense.
