Pujara replaces Younis Khan at Yorkshire

London: As Pakistan ace batsman Younis Khan pulls out of his proposed move to Headingley, England’s county cricket champions Yorkshire have signed Indian batsman Chetashwar Pujara as their overseas player.

The Pakistan international agreed to a return to the White Rose on a short-term deal in February, but he has now said that he would be unable to turn down a possible call to tour Bangladesh. Yorkshire’s director of cricket Martym Moxon has said that they have moved quickly to bring in Pujara, who has scored 8,724 first-class runs at an average of 57.01, and added that the Indian batsman is a superb player.
